Al Bara Aleppo soap embodies a precious heritage that we proudly perpetuate.

Our manufacturing steps

At Al Bara, each Aleppo soap is born from ancestral know-how passed down through generations. Olive and laurel berry oils are carefully harvested and pressed before being slowly cooked in a cauldron, according to the traditional Aleppo method. The soap is then cut, stamped by hand, and naturally dried for several months. From the Syrian soil to your hands, it is the entire heritage of an Eastern way of life that we proudly perpetuate.

01. Harvesting and pressing the oils

The olives and bay berries are harvested when ripe, then pressed using traditional methods to extract oils of exceptional purity.

02. Cooking in a cauldron

Our soap makers in Aleppo patiently blend olive and laurel oils in large copper cauldrons. This slow cooking process creates a fine and smooth paste, the hallmark of true Aleppo soap.

03. Molding and stamping

Once the paste has rested, it is rolled out, cut by hand, and then each soap is stamped with the seal, guaranteeing authenticity and origin.

04. Natural drying

The soaps are then stored for several months to dry slowly in the open air. Over time, their color naturally deepens to a golden hue, while the core retains the richness of the oils.
