Eastern Excellence
Our soaps are genuine Aleppo soaps, made using time-honored techniques in Aleppo, with premium laurel and olive oils. They are rigorously selected by Zeina, CEO of Al Bara, a Syrian woman from Aleppo who came to France because of the war, and whose grandfather owned a soap factory.
Harvesting and pressing the oils
The olives and bay berries are harvested when ripe, then pressed using traditional methods to extract oils of exceptional purity.
Cooking in a cauldron
Our soap makers in Aleppo patiently blend olive and laurel oils in large copper cauldrons. This slow cooking process creates a fine and smooth paste, the hallmark of true Aleppo soap.
Molding and stamping
Once the paste has rested, it is rolled out, cut by hand, and then each soap is stamped with the seal, guaranteeing authenticity and origin.
Natural drying
The soaps are then stored for several months to dry slowly in the open air. Over time, their color naturally deepens to a golden hue, while the core retains the richness of the oils.
